Welcome

I tried to think of something to write in this space about God.

I couldn’t think of anything.

It’s not because He’s difficult to write about or anything. It’s just that many of us have heard all the words before. Sometimes we’ve heard them so often that we’ve become immune to them.

But as I’ve lived life with God, gaining experiences instead of just words, I’ve discovered so much more than just strokes on a page.

I’d love it if you’d join me on the journey so we can grow together.

Jessica.

  1. Jessica, loved your honesty. God knows your heart and you’ve got your eyes on Him so you ‘ll get there eventually-even if it is via a different route than you’d thought…hoped. Press on!

  2. You wrote, “It’s just that many of us have heard all the words before.” That’s exactly why I bother to write The Well-Dressed Branch. “Christians” of all stripes share one common sin; their pride tells them they have a lock on God’s truth, so they encapsulate it into dogmas, creeds and confessions, then build ivory towers for them. Christ-followers are different in that they always seek to know God more deeply, know his truth more deeply, both through careful Bible-study and experiencing his grace in their everyday lives. I pray God will continue revealing himself to you, Jessica.

BTW: Thanks for following my blog.
BTW2: Please forgive me for venting.
